Based in the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York, Bella Voce is a group of talented women who love to sing. Formerly known as the Finger Lakes Women's Chorale, Bella Voce seeks to raise awareness of the rich and diverse literature for the treble voice by offering concert performances each Fall and Spring as well as shorter programs throughout the year.
Bella Voce's repertoire includes pieces in many styles, including folk, classical, pop, gospel, and jazz. The group's Artistic Director, Doreen Kelly Alsen, CSMA faculty member, selects music that delights audiences while challenging singers to excel.
The Finger Lakes Women's Chorale made its transformation into Bella Voce in 2011, becoming a small chamber ensemble.
Membership in the group is open to any female by audition (see "join us" page). Rehearsals are held weekly in Ithaca NY on Tuesday evenings.
